Finding the MAC (Media Access Control) Address
You need to provide MAC Address of the first Ethernet Card of the Computer that will run the SecureScout Trial product.
First, we need to explain how to find and optionally change binding order of network adapters in order to make sure the correct adapter is the first network adapter.
1. Go to Network Connections in Control Panel (shortcut: Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl , and then click OK)
You can see the available connections in the Lan and High-Speed Internet section of the Network Connections window.
2. On the Advanced menu, click Advanced Settings, and then click the Adapters and Bindings tab.
See picture:
3. In the Connections box, make sure that the internal network adapter is listed first. If it is not, use the arrows to move it to the top of the list.
See example (with Local Area Connection listed first):
4. At the local console (Click Start, click Run, type cmd ) use ipconfig /all to find MAC Address (look for Physical Address line) for the internal network adaptor that is now first in the Connections box.
See example (MAC Address for the First adapter from the Step 3, Local Area Connection, can be found inside "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:" section and it is 00-0E-A6-23-C1-42):
